Summer time is family time in Rancho Mirage. The Labor Day weekend is nearing and for many that means the return to school and work. There is still time to enjoy the endless sunshine and warm days and nights offered in the Coachella Valley. I invite you to plan one last road trip this summer, to soak it all in. Of note for families is the Rancho Mirage Family Passport. For the first time the resorts, attractions and restaurants of Rancho Mirage have joined forces to offer this complimentary added value. Featuring free breakfast for kids at all resorts, free kids meals at ten Rancho Mirage restaurants and complimentary admission to the Living Desert, the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert. The promotion runs through September 13th.
A popular choice at this time of year is trip up Mt San Jacinto on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Ascend two and one half miles above the desert floor to pristine wilderness and comfortable summer temperatures. There is plenty to do too, from hiking and camping to dining. An easy five minute drive from the Westin makes an evening out that much more enjoyable.
