March is traditionally one of the most exciting and diverse months of the year in the Coachella Valley. Major sporting and entertainment events, Spring break fun, El Paseo Fashion week and endless, warm sunshine! The LPGA's first major of the year, the Kraft Nabisco Championship tee's off March 29th at Mission Hills Country Club. | Switching gears to tennis, the ATP and WTA tennis tours combine for the BNP Paribas Open at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Known as the "5th" major, the BNP features the world's top men and women players in two weeks of exciting action. If you are planning to travel to the event, bring your racquet, book a room at the Westin and play all afternoon at the resort before heading to the evening draw. It's tennis heaven! Over in Palm Desert, El Paseo fashion week rules the runway, March 21-28th while Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, Amy Grant and Brad Garrett among others perform at the McCallum Theatre. The Show is the desert's hottest live entertainment theater featuring top name entertainment and sporting events. An easy five minute drive from the Westin makes an evening out that much more enjoyable.
