The Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa offers an array of great activities, designed to keep the whole family entertained. We have a dedicated Director of Fun who works to ensure your time with us is enjoyable, exciting and FUN for everyone. View our Family Fun Calendar of Events.
The Westin Kids Club Discovery Room is a chance for children to play and learn, while parents explore the resort. The Discovery Room features a series of daily activities and themed events for children ages 4-12, such as:
- Arts and Crafts
- Cookie Decorating
- Wii Play Tournaments
- Pajama Tales (Story Time & Snack)
- Kidz Nite Out
- Kidz in the Kitchen
- Kidz Fun Cabana (Select Saturday's)
With our 'Kidz Stay, Parents Play' offer, parents who are booked for a tee time at one of our golf courses or a spa appointment at The Spa at Mission Hills will enjoy a 20% discount off of one Westin Kids Club Discovery Room session fee for their child. Tee times and Spa appointments will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Kidz stay while parents play discounts:
Parents will enjoy a 20% discount off one Westin Kids Club Discovery Room session when enrolled while Mom or Dad play golf, tennis or enjoy the Spa at Mission Hills. Tee times and Spa appointments will be confirmed at the time of booking. *Advance reservations are required.
Popular Kidz Club activities:
Kidz Night Out (select Friday & Saturday evenings):
While Mom & Dad head out for the night, kids ages 4-12 are invited to their very own themed party. Join the FUN team from 5:00pm - 9:00pm for arts, dinner, movies and more! Cost: $55 per child, including dinner. Advanced reservations are required at the Westin Kids Club Discovery Room at 760-770-2181.
Kidz & Junior Tennis:
Through interactive lessons and clinics, kids ages 6-10, and juniors player ages 11-18, can learn or experience their game with Pat Dennehy, Director of Tennis. For more information, or to make a reservation, please contact Pat directly at 760-202-2021.
Kidz in the Kitchen (select weekends):
Kids 6-12 are invited to join our Executive Chef, Joel Delmond, in the main kitchen to create their own pancake breakfast and tour our pastry shop before dining in their very own VIP section of our Bella Vista Restaurant. *Advanced reservations are required.
The Cookie Monster Club:
Cookies are the theme of this activity, which invites kids 6-12 to join our Executive Chef in the kitchen to make a batch of their own. Kids will learn to read a recipe, bake & decorate their own cookies. And of course, all cookies are boxed up and taken to go, to be enjoyed later. *Advanced reservations are required.
Twilight Golf:
Experience Troon Golf as a family and introduce your children to the world's greatest game. Junior plays golf for free after 3 pm when playing with a paying adult, and enjoy a complimentary Callaway club rental. For more information, please contact the Golf Pro Shop at (760) 770-6790.
Kidz Golf Clinics (Saturdays):
Kids ages 4-16 are invited to join in our Junior Gold Clinic at 1:00 pm on Saturday. Our Troon Golf teaching professionals will provide a fun, easy and 'kid friendly' introduction to gold. Cost: $20 per child. Advanced reservations required, please contact the Golf Pro Shop at (760) 770-6790.
Wii Tournaments:
Show off your wii skills in a fast-paced tournament of bowling, golf, baseball or golf! Tournaments are held weekly (days & times are subject to change) in our Westin Kids Club Discovery Room. No fee. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Pool Games at Las Brisas:
Our family friendly resort is also home to our Las Brisas 60-foot water slide available to guests from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The waterslide pool depth is 3 ½ feet so guests must be 48" or taller to ride and must ride individually. Join us for complimentary children's activities held daily at our Las Brisas Pool to include activities such as: Limbo, Treasure Dives, Biggest Splash Contests, Fastest Slide Contests, Hula Hoop Contests, H20 Balloon Toss, etc. (Times & Activities subject to change)
Bicycle Rentals - (Rentals available in our Westin Tennis Club)
Bicycle rentals are available on an hourly, daily or weekly basis by dialing ext. 2021 daily between 7:00am - 3:00pm. Hourly rate: $12.00 per person. Half Day Rate: $25.00 per person. Full Day Rate: $35.00 per person. Weekly Rate: $80.00 per person. All children's rentals (12 & under) are 50% of the adult rates.
